What’s In My Bag?

Bag, purse, satchel… all things to carry stuff, right? Well, to most women, her bag is an essential element to any form of travel outside of the home. And as every woman is different, so to are the items of importance that get carried around everyday.

Let’s Get Personal

So, here’s a view inside a very personal part of a girl’s life: her purse. It’s not just a bag, it is the most essentials to take on the world wrapped up in one defining statement. Questions like “What kind of person are you?” are answered with this simple exercise.

OK, not really. It is just “stuff” after all, but how much we value that stuff begins to shape who we are. I like to keep it simple, and minimize how much I need to carry at all times. This perspective is carried through in many things I do, including travel, my home, what I eat, what skills to learn, and what information I listen to. If you notice, these 5 things sum up the 5 categories of Designing 4 Life.

• The dusty pink bag is from H&M early 2010 collection
• Avena’s breath freshener (in the silver case)
• L’Occtaine hand moisturizer I bought in the Paris train station on our way to London
• Korres pomegranate lip balm
• House keys with a Dillon’s Plus Card (local grocery store discounts)
• A small coin purse I bought at a craft fair
• Larabar, lemon flavor (delicious!)
• Knock-off Gucci wallet from Beijing (doesn’t really match, but it still works well)
• iPhone 4 (probably the most essential!)
• 3 Pilot Precise V5 pens (I lose them!)
• Moleskin notebook for my doodles and notes on the go
• Moleskin agenda
• RayBan sunglasses (need a case for these, even though they stay on my head most of the time)
• H&M organic cosmetic bag
