This week we plan on starting the bathroom project, #1 on my House Plan list, and I am getting ready for the madness. It is going to be a hectic week, as I also have some very important meetings to attend, and without a bathroom, getting ready will be interesting!
I thought I would post my first video of a little overview of what we plan to do in the bathroom renovation. This is also an excellent way to give you a tour of how the place looks before we destroy everything.
The plans are set, the tile has been bought, and now my Dad the house builder is here to help!

That bathroom looks very familiar…just remove most of the white and add 1950s-era Carolina blue tile, and you have my bathroom, also in need of an update. Thankfully, we don’t have have the same structural (subfloor rotting) problems, but it still needs a little TLC.
Now, we may move to my grandfather-in-law’s house in a couple years, and that would require serious updating. We’re talking claw-foot-bathtub-and-no-shower-heads era remodeling.
Let us know how the bath updating’s going.
Now that sounds like a project! Just please don’t get rid of the claw-foot tub, it sounds wonderful.
